Mistral added this soap product to its lineup of other soaps, but deleted the Royal Cypress soap in favor of the Cypress Oak. I think that was a huge marketing faux pas. The Royal Cypress was an invigorating and manly soap that I and many others adored. My home shower area always smelled fresh, clean, and manly when a bar of the Royal Cypress was in the soap dish. The Cypress Oak is a poor substitute for my personal favorite, Royal Cypress.

Smelled great initially. When using it in the shower, It smells a little like plastic. Does not leave your skin smelling like anything. Super disappointed for a $15 bar of soap.

Although it’s only been a few days since I received the soap, I feel secure in saying that I’m sure it’ll be great. I’ve been a customer for many years of soaps and cologne and have only been disappointed once, driftwood but that was probably just my taste. I would recommend these products to those who want to indulge themselves with a pleasant, non-overpowering, B-A silky bar. Keep an eye out for sales and try one, you’ll be back.

SINCE THE BARS LAST ALMOST 2 (TWO) MONTHS PLUS AFTER SHOWERING, AT LEAST ONCE, EVERY DAY, IT WILL BE SOMETIME BEFORE I OPEN ANOTHER "NEW" FRAGRANCE. ARE YOU SURE THAT THE BARS ARE FREE OF ADDICTIVE SCENTS THAT MAKE US WAIT FOR THE NEXT "NEW" SOAP?

Cypress Oak...if you love the way it smells to walk into a forest, after a crisp clean rain..this scent is for you!! Honestly, my husband and I have bought every "wood" scented soap Mistral has to offer, and literally every single one has been a favorite!! You seriously can not go wrong buying any of them!! Royal Cypress, we fell in love, then the Alpine Brandy...again, loove, but we just opened this beauty up...and with just the first sniff, it has became our number one favorite!! I love that my husband(who is a carpenter by trade) smells like the mountain man I know him to be, and I get to smell like him, when I use the soap!! I personally prefer using the men's line to the women's line, bc the earthy notes just speak to me!! Do yourself a favor, get this soap!! And if you really want to treat yourself, take yourself on a forest journey, by buying ALL the wood themed(especially the green/green packaged) soaps!! It's so good!!
