No debating that Bourbon Vanilla is an excellent fragrance. Personally, I'd categorize it as a predominantly a Fall/Winter fragrance. Also much like a wardrobe's color palette I'd wear this in instances wear you are dressed in any combination of Cream, Brown, Beige, Stone, White and Taupe.
Lastly, in my package, I received a sample of what I believe to be Bourbon Vanilla's older brother. Which is Mahogany Rum. This fragrance takes the sweet spice and subtle musk that we've come to enjoy from Bourbon Vanilla to the next level. It's smells uncomfortably sexy and a must grab whenever Mistral produces the full size bottle.

On another note, I was wondering if perhaps the formula had changed over the years and to my surprize, you include a small vial to try BEFORE opening the bottle to aid it potential returns or exchanges. I bought this for my boyfriend but because of the pandemic I was unable to sample in stores. I read tons of reviews and decided I would take the gamble.
They sent a sample to try with the bottle so I would return it if I didn’t like it, but this is the sexiest gd smell!!! He wears it and I can’t help but rip his clothes off.
I think it’s best suited for cold weather, but it’s soft enough to be worn anytime, anywhere. I will be buying regularly and really hope they don’t discontinue it his smell.
