Mistral should consider using lot numbers to track quality control. I normally LOVE this lavender soap and have been purchasing it for my family and myself for many years. It’s the only bar soap we use. However, the quality of the soap changed in last order from April 2024. The soap is lumpy, chalky and disintegrates quickly (soap on left hand side of photo). I contacted customer service and they confirmed there are no lot numbers. The one replacement bar they sent was the same sub-quality. I’m hesitant to purchase more in the same quantities until Mistral can guarantee that the new lots are of their usual highest quality.

I appreciate Mistral's soaps for their beautiful packaging, lovely scents and the large bars that last a long time. I buy several soaps at a time and use them to scent my dresser drawers. When I pull out a piece of clothing ands it smells so nice, like lavender or one of the other fragrances, I feel happy. I also give the soaps as gifts. In this age of impersonal Amazon packages, brand gift cards, and frequent returns, Mistral soaps are a thoughtful gift I can give with confidence. Almost most everyone appreciates the self-pampering of an attractive, scented soap.

My husband surprised me with a few bars of this lovely soap at least 20 years ago. I have been using it exclusively since then. It lasts a good time and never gets mushy and it’s scent is just the right strength. It feels luxurious on my skin and I even use it to wash my face.
